John was
born in Knoxville, TN on February 5th 1979, and from a very young age
he was fascinated with cars of all sorts. While growing up he kept up
with everything that dealt with automobiles, from racing to concept
cars and in later years realized that he wanted to somehow work in the
automotive field. During his college years at Samford University in
Birmingham, AL he took a sales job with a Honda dealership during his
first summer of college in Atlanta, GA. From there he went on to work
for several other dealerships in the Birmingham area during his time
at college. After several years of sales he became frustrated with the
retail car sales business and took a year to go and work for a technology
transfer and commercialization company called Foresight Science and
Technology in New Bedford, MA where he helped in numerous marketing
and sales tasks. After this stint, John started helping friends and
family buy cars with his knowledge of the internal workings of the automobile
retail sales industry while attending classes. John’s father,
John Campbell II one day said to him that he should take his knowledge
and use it to help other people in their car purchases to make the experience
easier, hassle free and to help others save time and most importantly
money. Thus, Automobile Broker Services, LLC was born.
